Blog #4 // Kid Cannabis

The article Kid Cannabis: The Wild Rise and Violent Fall of a Teenage Weed Kingpin is a story about a group of young high school dropouts who decided one day that they were going to start smuggling weed across the Canadian border. They were going to do this because they could buy a lot of “big name” weed for cheap and sell it for more to make a profit. They planned on stopping after they made $3 million but once they were making this huge profit they didn’t want to stop. They ended up making over $38 million dollars and were living lavishly. They were using their money to buy houses, cars and guns. However, the money got to them, they began to get greedy and began doing other drugs like cocaine. They even got robbed and almost killed by a hitman hired by another drug smuggler in the area. Eventually, they were all busted and sent to prison for anywhere from 3 years all the way up to 12 years. Despite all of the trouble they went through and having to spend years in prison, they do not regret a thing. They had their ups and their downs but in the end they are all spending time in prison.
